JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Management: The Senior Engineer will manage multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. They will need to communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that systems are designed and installed according to project requirements.
Design and Planning: The Senior Engineer will be responsible for designing and planning complex ELV and IT systems, such as integrated security systems, building technology systems, and networking systems, using the latest industry standards and best practices. They will also be responsible for projects delivery and leading a team of technicians.
Installation and Commissioning: The Senior Engineer will oversee the installation and commissioning of ELV and IT systems, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality and meets project specifications.
Technical Leadership: The Senior Engineer will provide technical leadership to junior engineers, offering guidance and support on complex projects, as well as identifying and mitigating technical risks.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: The Senior Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting complex technical issues, identifying the root cause, and implementing corrective actions. They will also oversee the ongoing maintenance and support of ELV and IT systems to ensure optimal performance. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of all systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams and maintenance logs.
Client Relationship Management: The Senior Engineer will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that they receive excellent service and that their needs are fully understood and met. The Senior Engineer may be responsible for training clients and end-users on how to use and maintain the systems.
Business Development: The Senior Engineer will be involved in business development activities, such as identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and presenting solutions to clients.
Quality Assurances: The Senior Engineer will ensure that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards, following established processes and procedures, and adhering to relevant regulations and industry standards.

 

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT Engineering, Computer Networking, or a related field is typically required. A specialization in ELV or IT systems is preferred.
Experience: At lease 5-7 years of relevant work experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of ELV and IT systems is usually required. Candidates should have experience managing complex projects and leading technical teams.
Technical Skills: A strong technical background in ELV and IT systems is essential. Candidates should be familiar with industry standards and best practices, including Fire Alarm (FA) systems, Video Surveillance Management (CCTV), Airconditioning and Mechanical Ventilation System (ACMV), Parking Management System (PMS), Access Control System (ACS), Network & System Monitoring, Queue Management System (QMS), Video & Audio Conference System, Home Automations System. Proficiency in Auto CAD software and other design tools is also desirable.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as the Senior Engineer will need to communicate complex technical information to clients, team members, and other stakeholders. The ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form is required.
Leadership Skills: The Senior Engineer should have strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate technical teams. Experience managing budgets, schedules, and resources is also desirable.
Problem-solving Skills: The Senior Engineer should have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex technical issues. The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances is also desirable.
Business Development Skills: Experience in business development, including identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and presenting solutions to clients, is desirable.
Professional Certifications: Professional certifications, such as ELV & IT product certified.
